ThoughtLoop is a productivity app designed to help you manage tasks and focus. It is developed and operated by ThoughtLoop ("we", "us", "our").

You provide your first name during onboarding. It is stored only on your device and is used solely to personalise your in-app experience (for example, displaying your name on the home screen). It is never transmitted to our servers or shared with any third party.
When you use the Brain Dump feature, your voice is recorded and sent to our secure server for transcription. The audio is processed using OpenAI Whisper and converted to text. The audio file is not stored after transcription is complete. The resulting text is returned to your device so ThoughtLoop can extract tasks from it.
When you use AI-powered features such as task breakdown or daily plan reset, the text of your tasks is sent to our server for processing. This content is used only to generate the AI response and is not stored, analysed, or shared beyond what is required to complete your request.
If you purchase ThoughtLoop Pro, your subscription is managed by RevenueCat and Apple. We receive only your subscription status (active or inactive) via an anonymous identifier. We never see your payment card details — these are handled entirely by Apple.
RevenueCat assigns an anonymous identifier to your installation to manage your subscription status. This identifier is not linked to your name, email address, or any personal information.

We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with advertisers or data brokers.
All personal preferences and task data are stored locally on your device using encrypted device storage. Data sent to our server for AI processing is transmitted over HTTPS and is not retained after your request is fulfilled.

ThoughtLoop is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
